Leyline Press has announced the launch of the Kickstarter page for Salvage Union, a post-apocalyptic mech tabletop roleplaying game powered by the Quest RPG system by The Adventure Guild.
Set on a post-apocalyptic world similar to earth, you play as a group of salvagers who live upon a huge Mech known as a Union Crawler. As you eke out survival by scouring the wastelands for salvage in your Mechs you’ll tackle the denizens of the wastes. These include bands of wastelanders, terrifying bio-mecha, alien constructs and the powerful Corpos who still own the vast majority of resources within the land.
Salvage Union is a narrative focussed Mech game designed to be accessible and simple to run and play. It’s for everyone who has always wanted to play a Mech game but hasn’t found the time to learn a more complex rules set.
It uses a core d20 system with a variable range of resolution and eschews the likes of character stats for a series of powerful and evocative Mech and Pilot abilities. As befitting a Mech game there’s a whole slew of customisation options to refit your Mech with salvage that you find in the wastelands.
Salvage Union is being written and designed by Aled Lawlor and Panayiotis Lines. Aled Lawlor has previously worked on the development and production of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare and Skyrim Call to Arms as well as creating the indie tabletop roleplaying game Mew-Tants! Panayiotis Lines is the designer of Shadow of Mogg - A London based post-apocalyptic RPG and the author of modules for Old School Essentials including The Isle of Glaslyn & Bastard King of Thraxford Castle.
Artists on Salvage Union include Hamish Frater, a digital environment artist who directs a team at Hutch and formerly worked for Sony London Studio. Francesco Silva, a freelance concept artist and creator of the comic series ‘Junk Lords’ and graphic designer Alex Connolly.
Writers on Salvage Union include professional RPG author Virginia Page (Star Trek Adventures, John Carter of Mars) and Gold ENnie winning author Diogo Nogueira (Halls of the Blood King, Sharp Swords & Sinister Spells)
A Salvage Union Quickstart is being finalised and will be launched soon as a free PDF available by subscribing to the Leyline Press Newsletter, playtest sessions are starting soon in lead up to the full Kickstarter launch in December.
